Military Spouse Network - North Carolina is the most military-friendly state in the country and has the fifth largest military presence in the country. To support the current and future needs of our military families, the State of North Carolina is a member of the National Association of State Personnel Employees' (NASPE) Military Spouse Transition Network.

The Military Spouse Transition Program is available to all designated military spouses working for government agencies in NASPE member states. This program is designed to help military spouses moving to or leaving North Carolina identify career resources. The program connects military spouses with employment services resources to help with resume building, skills transfer, and informal connections to support military spouse reemployment.

The program is activated when a military spouse receives notice of a Permanent Change of Station (PCS) from their spouse and notifies the North Carolina State Office of Human Resources () Talent Acquisition Division of their desire to participate in the program. Contact Us Military spouses working for an organization or university in the State of North Carolina who have been notified of a Permanent Change of Station (PCS) are encouraged to participate in the state's Military Spouse Transition Program contact the Talent Acquisition Department by completing the first one. inquiry form here.

The Talent Acquisition Department will hold an initial meeting with transitioning military participants placed through the NASPE network to review their resumes and identify employment opportunities with the State of North Carolina. Click here to view our current job openings.

The program, which is open to all designated military spouses working for government agencies in member countries, is activated when a military spouse/government employee is notified of a Permanent Change of Station (PCS) from their spouse who is in contact with a designated representative in their country (ie, a situation where the spouse is traveling). The program offers productive services such as reconstruction, skills conversion, informal connections, etc. to support the reemployment of a military spouse.
